“Save it for rainy day.” That’s my motto. When I have a choice between spending my money or putting it in my savings account at the bank, I always put it in the bank.I will have a lot of expenses in the future like my education, travel, and unforeseen emergencies. I need to have money set aside for these expenses.
Education is expensive. I can’t depend on my parents to pay all my bills. I have tuition, room and board, books, and incidental expenses to pay for. I’ll try to get a scholarship to cover some of these costs, but I know I will be responsible for a lot of the expenses. If I spend my money now, I won’t be able to pay for my education. I need to save money for my education.
Travel is also very expensive. I don’t mean vacation travel. I mean travel to get to and from school. Transpacific airfare costs a lot even special reduced fares. I first have to get to school and then, of course, I want to return to my family for important festivals and occasions. Going back and forth will be costly, but worth it. I need to save money for these trips.
Emergencies could arrive at any moment. I might have an unexpected illness while I am at school. There might be costs that won’t covered by the school insurance. One of my family members may need help, I will have to send them money. You can’t predict emergencies like this, but you can be prepared. I need to save money for these emergencies.
When you are not rich, you cannot spend your money carelessly. You must plan ahead. I know in my life, I will have expenses for my schooling and for travelling to and from my home. I know that I will also have unexpected expenses related to unforeseen emergencies. I must be prepared. I need to save money for these events.

Jewelry is very fashionable. I would feel very smart wearing a beautiful gold bracelet or diamond pin. People would comment and tell me how much they loved my jewelry. They would compliment me on my good taste.
I would feel very rich with my jewelry. I would have a good investment which is permanent and fashionable. Then, when someone invites me to a concert( and pays for my ticket), I will have something beautiful to wear.

找工作：在多项选择前，知道自己最想要的
当众多的应届毕业生在校园招聘会上排队投简历、做自我介绍的时候，同样是今年毕业的唐雯(化名)已是某保健品公司负责招聘的工作人员。
唐雯出生于1990年，但是自我坦诚和所谓的90后——宅，以自我为中心，不独立等标签没有任何关系。“一闲下来，不做点事，呆在寝室心里就很慌。”唐雯说。
事实上的确如此。从大一开始，唐雯就陆续做家教、担任超市的临时促销员、贩卖小商品等，这不仅给自己赚了一些“外快”，更重要的是锻炼了胆识。兼职虽多，但学习也没因此落下，大学四年，两次获得奖学金，还担任过社团的各种职务，“怎么可以在同样的时间做这么多事，你是不是打了鸡血啊?”周围的同学常常如是调侃她。
表达能力强、成绩优异、容貌姣好、热爱新闻、专业实习经验较为丰富，唐雯的同学一致认为她毕业时会朝媒体进军。
大二暑假，唐雯在某电视台新闻栏目实习两个月，一年后的暑假又实习了一段时间，她的实习成绩得到了老师们的认可。不过，到了大四真正考虑毕业后的去向时，唐雯仔细分析了自己的性格和兴趣所在，有家教经验，表达欲望强烈，与人沟通具有亲和力都是她的优势，而相反，曾经一度坚持的新闻理想，通过一番实践之后发现，对她来说，并非适合。“每天两个固定的任务，有些线索本身不具备多大的新闻价值，但因为任务所限，非得做扩大化处理。”唐雯说，同样对于考研这一选择，考虑到自身注重实践经验，以及家庭经济条件限制，所以“意义不是很大”。
2011年9月份，当唐雯的同学还没准备简历时，她已经收到了第一份offer。虽然这一份工作，并不被大多数人看好，但是唐雯乐在其中。“在多种选择面前，知道自己真正想要的东西。”唐雯逗趣道，生在90年，但和她的80后室友没有多大区别，当然跟被标签化的90后几乎没有任何关系，“即使是在集体中，人也是以个体的形式出现的。”
应届毕业生在求职时一般会准备一沓简历广撒大网，但是在提早工作的大半年时间内，唐雯没有投下第二份简历。“如果在一份工作上没有做到半年或者一年，浅尝辄止，如果你走之后，有人能完全替代你原来的职务，那肯定是你没做好。”谈及未来的职业规划，唐雯说，除了人力资源培训师这一目标外，提高自己的不可替代性也在其中。
考研：全心全意做好一件事后，才想到退路
在床上看考研复试资料，吃饭叫外卖，娱乐就是看电视，彭梨最近在寝室过上了足不出户的“宅”生活。如果时光倒转到5个月前，能动能静的她又“规矩”多了：早上七点半之前起床，晚间十一点半休息，一日三餐在食堂解决，即便是周末也不出校门，大部分时间在自习室埋首于一大堆考研资料中。“只有短短三个月的复习时间，只能这样——天天看书。”回忆起那段考研时光，彭梨稍显无奈。
在层出不穷的大学本科专业就业排行榜上，法学专业一贯以较低的就业率排在末尾，所以对于大多数法学专业学生来说，考研或者考公务员成了毕业时的首选。90后大四女生彭梨便是这浩浩荡荡的考研大军中的一员，她坦承，自己做出这个决定，一方面是自己所学专业就业面太窄，有待于平台的提高，另外一件事也深深地影响了她。在彭梨准备考研期间，她的一位室友去找工作，被主考官直接拒绝掉了。“找专业对口的工作，经验不足;做文秘，写文案，人家中文系的比你强多了。”。
彭梨把自己的考研目标定为中南财经政法大学的民商法方向，据悉，该校的民商法学科属于国家级重点学科，所以即便是对于专业成绩名列前茅的彭梨来说，要实现这一目标绝非小事。
一旦实施计划了，那就没有退路可言，“尽最大的努力投入一件事情，哪怕失败了，也没有后悔可言。”彭梨强调，在复习的时候，她没有像其他同学一样，边复习边找工作，一旦找到了如意工作，则放弃考研。2月份，考研的初试成绩公布，388分，在所有报考同一所学校同一研究方向的考生中，彭梨的这一成绩排名第11，虽然进入复试已成定局，但最后结果并没有一锤定音。
“考研不同于考司法考试，背诵为主，案例少，背得人记忆力直线下降。”去年9月份，彭梨参加了司法考试，三个多月的复习时间让后来的考研变得有些吃力和健忘，“明明把一个东西放好在一个位置，转过身就忘记了。”
考研的滋味怎么形容?酸甜苦辣兼有之，彭梨说，考完研当晚，她恶补了通宵的电视剧;在没出考研成绩前，投了一份简历，当然，这些事是建立在全身心投入考研那一件事之后。
考公务员：“关系”与理想的矛盾
四年前，胡凯顺利通过了高考这一关;四年后，胡凯又成为96万参加2012年国家公务员考生中的一员。作为一个90后的理科生来说，胡凯的就业选择多于一般的文科生，但他还是看重“稳定、高福利、有保障、安全感”的公务员职务。
在交谈过程中，胡凯常常感喟现实社会中“关系”的重要性，国考对于他来说，只是地方考的“预热”，而自己把筹码压在后者身上也是建立在机关单位有熟人的基础之上，即便是目前所找到的金融类工作，也是得益于“关系”。“大学生中，尖子生系列属于少数，大部分人的能力平庸，如果有„其他资源‟相助，进入系统之内就会容易得多。”胡凯强调，他的想法在同学之中看起来过于功利，但是属于现实。
这个清明节，胡凯到杭州找两位大学同学玩，同学告诉他，做两年技术后，会因为大城市的生活压力不得不退回内地三线城市。同学对未来的这一规划加深了他对现实的认识，“反正是要回来的，何必那样子折腾，倒不如现在稳定。”
胡凯是矛盾的，强调自己是一个彻头彻尾的现实主义者的同时，也坦承自己是一个爱玩、敢闯的理想主义青年。在高中大家拼命往“高考”这一目标奋力前进时，他却分出精力“不务正业”，组织有兴趣的同学参加各项社团活动;2010年，爱好骑行山地车的他，为了挑战自己的极限，只身从株洲骑行到广西桂林，那趟旅程花费他半个月的时间。回湖南之后，全身几乎脱了一层皮，但是至今回忆起来仍然认为那是大学生涯中一份无可替代的宝贵财富。
